My friend Veronica S. told me about her dream, to make a big, pink, hardcover book of basic bitch things and have it lying on her coffee table. It was a brilliant idea; an idea that didn't need too much explanation. A simple collection of idioms, sayings, jokes and habits of the basic bitch. The concept was as simple and beautiful as the basic bitch herself. I got it and I was immediately in.

It is the reality that we rely heavily on Ai. That is to say, our content relies heavily on the image that goes with each meme. For our visuals, we require the meme to reflect the exact joke we are trying to make. What this would mean for us before all this Ai came out would be to subscribe to stock photos and then hope that there is a precise one that illustrates the point we are trying to get across. This wasn’t practical for our purposes.
Then as Ai came into the picture we could now deliver on pretty much any meme idea we’ve had. Ideas for memes we had years before Ai existed.
So, do we use it, yes we do. Does it drive our content? No. These ideas are coming from our authors, contributors, are from users such as yourself. To that end if you have a meme idea that is right on brand for The Basic Bitch, please submit it here!
